Take a glass and place a sugar cube in the bottom. With some bitters sprinkle the cube until the cube changes color. Let the cube sit for a minute. Then take a muddle from your bar and mash the cube in the bottom of the glass. Add a dash of simple syrup to the glass just enough to cover the bottom. Four or five cubes of ice are placed in the glass followed by one ounce of bourbon. With your spoon stir it for a bit making sure the ice, bourbon, and sugars are blended properly. Place a couple more cubes of ice on top of the others. Add one more ounce of bourbon and stir again. Finish the drink with a slice of orange rhine to garnish.
